Y+ -LY -NESS
If adding Suffix -LY or Suffix -NESS to one syllable words that end with Y, use the Leave Suffix Ending function, as in “sly” to “slyly”, or “shy” to “shyness”.
sky + -ly = slyly
shy + -ness = shyness
